The Inn was built at the turn of the 19th century by Albert L. Kleinecke, an executive for Standard Lumber Co., on a steep hillside overlooking the gold rush town of Sonora. It has been lovingly restored to its historic ambiance and is one the most well-known bed and breakfast inns in the southern Gold Country.

Although located only a 10-minute walk to the center of Sonora, the richly landscaped gardens gives guests the feel of staying in the middle of a beautiful park.

Enjoy relaxing in the living room with fireplace, formal dining room with crystal chandelier, first and second floor parlors or the cheery breakfast porch.

The B&B Inn features seven tastefully decorated non-smoking bedrooms with private bathrooms. One room is wheel chair accessible (ADA Compliant) with an elegant white marble walk or roll-in shower (see the Merlot room). The inn has high-speed wireless Internet access.
